At the beginning of the month, two dams broke in the municipality of Minas Gerais, close to the Rio Doce, which caused a huge amount of mud and debris to spread across the region, leaving people dead and many homeless. According to the Rio de Janeiro Red Cross, it is estimated that 35 thousand people were directly affected by the accident. Faced with the calamity situation, the fighters decided to make the donation, which went to those in need this Friday (20).

“Like the entire country, my fighting friends and I were shocked by what happened to the population of the Mariana region. From the images we saw, we could imagine the suffering of these people. Together with Tanquinho, Davi ramos, Tibau, Marlon moraes and Viscardi, we decided to do something to help these people. Our donation is small compared to what those affected by the tragedy need, but we hope that this is the start of a series of donations that members of the fighting world in Brazil can and should make”, commented Dudu, former Bellator champion.

UFC athlete, Gleison Tibau knows what it's like to suffer from natural problems. “There is nothing more powerful than the force of nature, whether with earthquakes, rain or even when the water disappears and the pain is caused by drought. I don’t get into the issue of what the Government can and should do to help those in need, the Brazilian people expect much more from them, so I contribute to reducing the suffering of our brothers,” she said.
