Renato Moicano He publicly commented on the case involving jiu-jitsu coach Melqui Galvão. arrested on suspicion of sexual crimes against minors last Tuesday (28). In a video published on his YouTube channel, the UFC lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) fighter addressed the topic directly, but emphasized that his opinion is based solely on the information he has had access to so far.
According to the website 'BNC Amazonas', Melqui Galvão's arrest occurred following an order from the São Paulo court, which decreed a 30-day temporary detention. The fighter also commented on the possibility of punishment if guilt is proven, but stressed that his opinion is personal and not a definitive judgment on the case, as the investigations are still ongoing.

"Okay, people are asking me about that Melqui case, which I'll address quickly so it doesn't take up too much time. 'Why didn't you comment on it on your main channel?' My channel is about MMA and it's all about jokes. This is a serious matter."
'Moicano, what do you think?' I think the guy is guilty, man. I saw it, I didn't even hear the whole audio. I started listening to the audio already, my brother. I didn't even want to see that stuff, you know? 'Ah, Moicano, you can't say for sure.' My friend, 'he's innocent until proven guilty'.
Listen, I'm going to say a few things here. First thing, my brother: the guy shouldn't be traveling alone with a twelve-year-old student. That's absurd! You know? That's absurd! And just the involvement, you know? The girl's father should also be on the trips, man! You know? This is also the family's responsibility. You can't hand your daughter over to just anyone and believe in the guy as if he were a god. That's what happens.
Oh no! The guy's famous. Bro, you don't know people, man. Your son is your responsibility, dude. Your son is your responsibility. That's the first thing I have to tell you.
The second thing is this: 'Moicano, what do you think it should have been?' I think he should have been thrown in a ditch if it was proven. That's my opinion, okay? This is a disease, the guy doesn't recover. I saw some excerpts of the audio and the guy confessed, okay? He confessed.
I have to say this: this is my opinion, okay? So I don't get sued, this is my opinion, you know? My opinion is this: if it's proven, this guy has to go to jail and never get out again,” Moicano said on his YouTube channel.
Moicano believes the girl's father should be punished.
Throughout his statement, the Ultimate veteran also gave his opinion on the attitude of the girl's father, who was mentioned in the case. According to Moicano, his stance as the young woman's legal guardian should be different, aiming to protect the family circle.
"And my opinion is different as well. I know this is going to be controversial, and that's why I didn't want to talk about it. The girl's father should also be punished. That's my view."
The guy sent the audio: “This and this happened,” he apologized and all that. My brother, you have a moral duty to do something against a guy who hurt your family,” the UFC lightweight continued in the video.
'Justice doesn't work,' says Moicano.
Moicano, who emphasized that everything he said was just his opinion, went further. The fighter expressed disbelief both in the experts handling the case and in the improvement of Melqui Galvão, who is imprisoned on suspicion of sexual crimes against minors.
"Another important thing here: it seems to me that he's so guilty that he went to Manaus, you know? He turned himself in in Manaus. In Manaus, it seems he had connections with the police as well. In other words, he already had friends there. He's definitely in a separate cell."
My brother, the justice system doesn't work. He has money, he'll pay a lawyer, and soon enough the guy will be out and free. The justice system doesn't work.
Let me tell you something else: if a guy catches and barbecues some crazy person who hurt your son, the one who gets screwed is the father who goes to jail. And what should happen? This guy should go to a judge and the jury should acquit him, because there's evidence, there's everything. Okay?
That being said, this is just my opinion. I don't know what's true, I don't know what happened, I don't want to get sued. But, from what it seems in the audio, the guy is confessing. But my opinion is: there's no deal. The guy isn't going to get better. If he really is like that, he won't improve.
My only problem with the death penalty is that the state might end up killing innocent people. Like Monark, who can't even open YouTube anymore, you know? So, in my opinion, it's the family who should be doing justice. You can't let something like this go unpunished.
Why didn't I speak up before? Because everything I heard here was hearsay. I didn't want to spend thirteen minutes listening to a guy saying absurd things against a child. Everything I said here is obvious.
People want a stance… go f*** yourself with your stance. I'm not doing this because of anyone's stance. A stance?
What would the other position be? Does he think he's going to keep asking the athlete, and what is the athlete going to say? If the guy committed a crime against a child, that guy isn't even human.
So, if you're some kind of wimp who keeps demanding a statement from the athlete, go f*** yourself. Either you sort it out yourself or call the police, dude. If this had happened to my family, I wouldn't be responsible for my actions.
This doesn't just destroy one person, it destroys an entire family. If this is true, this guy destroyed a family. Not even a criminal would accept that. So my statement is this: go f*** yourself to whoever keeps asking for a statement. It changes nothing.
My business is, brother, the guy is guilty, there's proof, or so it seems to me. So, throw him in the gutter. You want me to do something? Go there and confront the guy.
"I'm not encouraging anyone to make hate speeches here, okay? It's about holding the guy accountable however you want. Now don't come bothering me with this crap, my channel is about humor and MMA. We already have enough tragedy," Moicano concluded.
