Alex Poatán took advantage of a break in preparation for the UFC White House He was present at the Neo Química Arena in São Paulo to watch Corinthians' 2-0 victory over Peñarol in the third round of the Copa Libertadores. Surrounded by the Gaviões da Fiel supporters, the Brazilian experienced the atmosphere of the stands firsthand and revealed that he wants to bring that same energy to his next fight against... Cyryl Gane, on June 14th, in Washington DC (USA).
During an interview with the 'Casal Coringão' profile, the former middleweight (up to 83,9 kg) and light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) champion spoke about his connection with the club and highlighted the difference of being among the most passionate Corinthians fans. According to Poatan, this was only his second experience in the stands and the first time among the organized supporters.

The fighter explained that the intensity of Gaviões da Fiel is impressive and stated that this energy could make a difference in his duel on June 14th, when he will compete for the interim heavyweight title (up to 120,2 kg) in the... UFC White House.
"It's a pleasure to be here with the guys. I came once with my kids and this is the second time. But today, here in the middle of the stands, it's different. The energy is great, the vibe doesn't fade, you don't stop for a second."
"There's a tough crowd here, that's great. I'll really need this energy on June 14th at the White House. It's a very important fight. Let's go together. Go Corinthians!", said Poatan.

In addition to the visit to Neo Química Arena, Poatan also revealed this week that he is about to embark for the United States., where he will complete the final stretch of the camp in preparation for the match against Cyryl GaneThe Brazilian finished his pre-camp in Sobrália, Minas Gerais, and said he would spend a few days in São Paulo before his international trip.
According to the São Paulo native, the preparation in the United States will be even more intense, marking the decisive phase before the fight that could make him the first athlete in UFC history to win belts in three different weight classes.
"That's it. Today is Monday and on Wednesday we're traveling. I'll spend three days in São Paulo and then head to the United States to continue my preparation. And the training there will be different. Things are going to get tough," he stated. Alex Poatán in a video published on his YouTube channel.
The video was published last Tuesday (28) and Poatan also appeared in Instagram stories on Wednesday (29) flying over São Paulo, which indicates that the trip to the United States should take place this weekend, between Saturday (2) and Sunday (3).
