The Brazilian shared part of his training last Wednesday (29) and left a message about his phase in the organization, reinforcing that his rise is not related to luck, but to hard work and intelligence.
The miner, who made her official debut in the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg) with a remarkable victory over Azamat Murzakanov in the co-main event of UFC 327On April 11th in Miami, he comes into the race riding a winning streak and is already emerging as one of the strong contenders for the division title.

In a post on his X profile, formerly Twitter, the athlete made it clear that he believes he is very close to a title shot. According to Borrachinha, everything that has been happening is a direct result of his daily dedication.

Indeed, the positive streak gained momentum at UFC 327. After a dominant performance in his official debut in the new weight class, Borrachinha moved into seventh place in the rankings. With the victory, the fighter from Minas Gerais reached 16 career wins and added his second consecutive positive result, now in different divisions, further strengthening his candidacy for a future title shot.
The comeback began in June 2025, when Borrachinha won. Roman Kopylov No. UFC 316 and ended a losing streak that had put his continued presence in the organization in doubt.
Despite his good form at 93 kg, Borrachinha hasn't ruled out a possible return to middleweight (up to 83,9 kg). According to him and his manager, Tamara Alves, everything will depend on the offer from the UFC, especially if there's an opportunity to fight for a title in either division.
