Jiri Procházka has already begun the rebuilding process after the tough defeat that cost him the chance to regain the light heavyweight title (up to 93 kg) at UFC 327, an event held on April 11 in Miami (USA). Knocked out by Carlos Ulberg in the main event. The former champion stated that he intends to make important adjustments to his style to reclaim the division's throne, but without abandoning the aggressive identity that marked his career in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
The need for adjustments arose after the setback against Ulberg. On that occasion, Procházka had the chance to return to the top of the division, but ended up being surprised by the New Zealander, who, even dealing with a knee injury, achieved his tenth consecutive victory by knocking out the Czech in the first round.

The Czech fighter, in an interview with 'The Ariel Helwani Show', explained that he recognizes defensive flaws in his own game and understands that he needs to evolve in fundamental aspects, such as wrestling, grappling, and jiu-jitsu, to remain competitive among the top names in the category.
“I need to be more precise on defense, but I'm not going to change who I am. I've found a way to be more myself, to believe even more in my style. Keeping my hands higher, being more precise on defense, all those things.”
Wrestling, grappling, jiu-jitsu… I want to improve in these areas because I feel a lot of potential. There are many possibilities for improvement. Now I'm giving myself some time to relax and continue to be hungry for evolution,” Jiri Procházka stated in the interview.
