Official! Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury sign agreement for historic super fight.

Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury They are officially closer to finally sharing the ring in one of the most anticipated fights in world boxing. The confrontation still doesn't have a set date, however, after years of expectation and frustrated negotiations, the British have signed an agreement for a mega heavyweight duel (up to 120,2 kg) sometime in 2026, putting an end to a wait that has lasted almost a decade.

Joshua and Fury have become two of the biggest names in recent English boxing history. Tyson gained worldwide recognition by dethroning Wladimir Klitschko, while Anthony became a phenomenon after winning Olympic gold in London 2012. Before the highly anticipated confrontation, AJ will still fight Kristian Prenga on July 25th. The superfight was confirmed by Eddie Hearn via Instagram.

"Signed, sealed and delivered! AJ x Fury is confirmed!", wrote Eddie Hearn when officially announcing the agreement between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.

At different times, the two came close to facing off for the heavyweight title, but the duel was ultimately postponed due to different paths in their careers. Fury went on to a trilogy against Deontay Wilder, while Joshua lost his belts to Oleksandr Usyk. In a new post, promoter Eddie Hearn described the fight as the biggest deal of his team's career.

“It was the biggest deal we’ve ever made, but more importantly, it’s what we’ve always wanted. The biggest year of AJ’s career is coming. The comeback has begun,” the prosecutor added.

Although there is still no official date for the heavyweight duel, The Ring Magazine indicated that the fight between the British giants should take place in the last quarter of 2026.
