Tim meansA veteran of the UFC welterweight division (up to 77 kg) was arrested last Wednesday (22) in New Mexico (USA) after being accused of child abuse involving his own 17-year-old daughter. According to the report, it all started with household chores and ended with alleged physical assaults. The American was released on Friday (24) on bail, but the case is still ongoing.
According to information released by the 'Albuquerque Journal', the complaint came from the teenager herself, who contacted the authorities after an argument with her father at home. According to the report, Means became irritated during a conversation about household chores and the situation got out of control. The police report also states that the veteran allegedly headbutted his daughter before grabbing her by the neck.
“There were still red marks and visible signs on her neck, indicating that she had been strangled. There was blood on and around her nose from the headbutt, as well as several red marks on her face and cheek, indicating assault,” states the police document, according to the report published by the Albuquerque Journal.

On the other hand, according to the 'KOAT' website, the veteran confirmed that the argument took place, but denied his daughter's version of events. According to the fighter, the disagreement started over issues related to the house, and the only time there was physical contact was when he tried to restrain her to avoid being assaulted.
“Tim spoke to authorities after being detained and admitted that he and the 17-year-old girl had a verbal argument about household matters. He stated that the only time there was physical contact was when he tried to restrain her to prevent her from assaulting him,” says the report from the KOAT website.
