Olympic medalist in judo in 2008 and the first UFC bantamweight champion (up to 61,2 kg), Ronda has become known over the years for her outspokenness. During a press conference to promote her fight with Gina Carano, Rowdy negatively referred to UFC fighters who use platforms like OnlyFans, criticizing the company's payment policy. Regarding the matter, Norma summarized the criticism as simple resentment.

"A frustrated woman is dangerous, isn't she? (laughs) A Ronda Rousey "She's frustrated because she wanted to have this fight in the UFC and the UFC didn't want it. And I understand Dana White not wanting it, because it's an exhibition fight. I even think that in the moment it will be a real fight, but Gina Carano hasn't been an athlete for 20 years and Ronda for ten, so it's a nostalgic fight. I think it fits much better with the profile of a Netflix event, which doesn't want to sell a big fight but a show. The UFC could promote this, but it would be very different from the UFC's focus, which is on real fights," he stated.

“I think the UFC was right not to accept this fight, and Ronda is a woman who doesn't like to take 'no,' to lose and get frustrated. So much so that she handpicked Gina Carano, everyone knows that. She's an athlete with a very high ego. I'm a fan as a fighter; the bubble of women's MMA burst, but that's over now. For Netflix it will be cool. I'll watch it, but it's a nostalgic fight,” concluded the fighter from Minas Gerais, who said she believes the former Ultimate champion is the favorite.
