Carlos Prates He surprised everyone in the final stretch of his preparation for the important fight against Jack Della Madallena, scheduled to take place on May 2nd in Australia. Recently, the athlete, ranked fifth in the UFC welterweight division (up to 77,1 kg), took a stand amidst the controversy surrounding Breno Faria, a digital influencer who owns the 'Café Com Teu Pai' profile, which has over one million followers on Instagram and boasts about having more than 15 'FDPs' (daughters of the father).
Last Friday (17), the profile was deleted from the social network after state deputy Ediane Maria (PSOL) and lawyer Natália Boulos denounced Breno to the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office and the Federal Highway Police's ombudsman for alleged misogynistic remarks. Quickly, the 'Café Com Teu Pai' page is back online and the influencer, who is an active PRF officer and believes he teaches women to understand men, vehemently defended himself, denying that his content disqualifies them.

In the comments section of the post, Prates appeared and posted clapping emojis. While the UFC star didn't write anything incriminating, the virtual applause suggests he supports the controversial digital influencer's proposal.
Statement by Breno Faria, owner of the 'Café Com Teu Pai' profile.
“I’m the one who defends women in this mess! I’m the one who reaches where the laws protecting women don’t reach, which is in shaping the conscience of thousands of women. You should put up a statue of Breno in the center of Rio de Janeiro, another in São Paulo, and another in Brasília. Because I was the one who decided to put myself out there and do for these women what many of them don’t even find within their own homes: support, advice, warnings, and protection,” said the influencer.
“The result of this fight I picked to teach women how to deal with men is there for all to see. Success came, and with it a bunch of scoundrels, bums, wanting their 15 minutes of fame at Breno's expense. And it's obvious they were going to try to stop me, that was never news to me, damn it! I always knew that, sooner or later, this would happen. You know why?”
"Because I believe in a piece of shit called individual freedom, which is your fundamental right to think, speak, and do whatever you want with your fucking life. And you're already tired of hearing about the other side, right? Power, control, censorship, corruption, lies, character assassination, and other very serious crimes that aren't even worth mentioning here, but they think they're dealing with just anyone. That's what they think."
“What they don’t know is that for me, a guy who has faced death dozens of times, all this collective hysteria on social media, all this nonsense, this political and ideological clash, it’s all just an amusement park to me. You don’t understand. Know this, you little shits, you who are trying to block the reach of my speech, give up!”, he concluded.
