Shockingly defeated at UFC 327, an event held in April in Miami (USA), Jiri Prochazka He continues to dwell on the episode. On that occasion, the Czech player faced Carlos Ulberg In the main event, valid for the vacant light heavyweight title (up to 93 kg), and even with an advantage, he ended up being surprised. The former champion was knocked out by the New Zealander, who suffered an injury during the fight, in the first round. As promised, 'Denisa' gave his version of what happened in the octagon.
On his official Instagram account, Prochazka surprised everyone by stating that upon seeing Ulberg injured and struggling to stay on his feet, he simply left the fight, performing at half his capacity. Interestingly, what was seen in the octagon was the Czech fighter not at all fearful, but rather brimming with energy, attacking his opponent with low kicks, taunting and pressuring him.

It's worth noting that this is the second time the athlete has tried to justify his defeat to Ulberg and ended up being viewed negatively by many. Previously, Prochazka stressed that he felt mercy for the injured 'Black Jag' and that this feeling led to his defeat. The Czech has so much difficulty accepting the loss to his rival that he makes it clear he wants a rematch.
“I’ll be brief and direct. I want to comment on the last fight, as promised, and I’ll focus mainly on what really happened. I want to make this very clear so that nobody comes with nonsense. Because what I’m hearing out there is complete absurdity and makes me want to laugh. The only thing that happened in the fight was this: I lost focus,” said the former UFC champion.
“Focus on the objective, on the target, and that became even more evident when Ulberg injured his leg. I know what that's like because the exact same thing happened to me once, in a fight in Japan. I fought until the end and I know what it's like. The pain, the suffering, so all the credit goes to him for managing to stay calm and hit me with that hook.”
“But I can say for myself that, from the moment the injury happened, I wasn’t at 100% anymore. I was maybe at 40%, 50% of my performance and just waiting for the referee to stop the fight at any moment. It was a big mistake, maybe one of the biggest. I don’t want to keep blaming myself endlessly, because the most important thing is always to learn and move forward stronger. So that’s it,” he concluded.
