Commenting on the event, the Armenian revealed that he plans to gift himself an airplane later this year. According to him, the gift would be a way to celebrate winning the lightweight title (up to 70,3 kg), a category in which he is ranked second.
“I think I’ll buy one in the summer. If I win the title in June or July, I’ll buy myself a plane in August, or maybe as a birthday present on October 11th. When I was 19 or 20, I dreamed of buying a Rolls-Royce Cullinan when I turned 30. That’s how I used to think. Now, my goal is to buy a plane. In the United States, anything is possible. It’s the land of opportunity,” he stated.

Despite his intention to compete for the title, the outlook doesn't look promising for the fighter. Ilia Topuria Justin Gaehtje and his opponent will unify the belts at the White House in June, and the winner's return is expected to happen only at the end of the year. Acquiring the aircraft shouldn't be too much of a challenge for the Armenian, even if it's not with his own resources. Besides being one of the UFC's top athletes, Tsarukyan is also the son of a powerful businessman in the construction industry. Therefore, his father's earnings should be more than enough to buy the "treat," especially given the poor relationship the fighter has with Dana White and the UFC matchmakers.
