The duel began cautiously, with both fighters gauging distance and avoiding unnecessary risks. While the Brazilian moved around the edges of the octagon, the Canadian remained more planted, working with jabs. Midway through the round, the fighters went into the clinch, and Jasudavicius was quicker in taking the fight to the ground.
With her back to the ground, Karine showed a good level of jiu-jitsu, working well from guard and coming close to locking in a triangle choke on her opponent.
In the second round, the pace remained similar. Jasmine advanced, throwing combinations of punches and kicks, while Karine relied on low kicks from a distance. After an attempted takedown by the Canadian, the Brazilian managed to lock in a guillotine choke, but couldn't hold the position.
Subsequently, Jasudavicius persisted with his strategy, secured another takedown, passed the guard, and finished the round on top, in a dominant position.
The third and final round began with the Canadian applying pressure from the opening seconds. With just over a minute remaining, Jasudavicius took the Brazilian down again and took control of the action, maintaining her dominance until the end of the fight.
