Ilia Topuria, by all indications, adopts an extremely methodical approach when it comes to scheduling his fights before the final bell. “I choose a few combinations and work on them all the time; my training camp is based on strategy… let’s say I have three or four combinations to take you down and then submit you,” he said. Ilia Topuria.

Furthermore, he emphasized that, in striking, he possesses precise and highly effective punches, which are used in a calculated manner, generally after a period of study and reading of the opponent, highlighting his perfectionist style inside the octagon.

“In striking, I have some moves that, if I execute them and catch you, I’ll knock you out… I don’t use them in the first exchanges, I’m very, very patient and a perfectionist; when I decide to throw those punches, I know they’re going to work,” concluded the Spaniard.
