Former UFC fighter arrested on domestic violence charges in Australia.

Mark Hunt was arrested in Sydney, released on bail, and is due back in court in April following charges involving threats and intimidation.

Away from the octagon since 2018, Mark Hunt He's back in the news, this time for the wrong reasons. The former UFC heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg) fighter was arrested and later released on bail after being charged with domestic violence in Sydney, Australia.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Hunt was arrested on charges of stalking or intimidation with intent to cause physical harm. The court was also informed that the New Zealander had sent a death threat text message to the woman involved in the case.

According to the Australian news outlet, during the initial hearing, Hunt was accused of acting aggressively towards the alleged victim and a witness. He reportedly adopted a posture considered intimidating and offensive, causing fear in the victim and prompting the police to be called.

The fighter's defense indicated that he will likely plead guilty to the charge of stalking and intimidation. Hunt was released on bail on the condition that he reside at a different address and not contact the alleged victim.

The next hearing is scheduled for April 30th, when a request for a protective order to keep him away from the woman involved in the case will also be considered.
