What a phase! NFL star challenges Israel Adesanya to a UFC fight: 'I don't want excuses'

the bad phase of Israel adesanya in his career is so alarming that he has become a target not only for members of the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg) of the world's largest MMA organization. Now, even Chad Ochocinco, NFL star, has expressed a desire to 'take a bite out of' the once feared former champion by attending UFC 327, an event held last Saturday (11), in Miami (USA).

In conversation with Chris Weidman e Daniel CormierThe 48-year-old veteran challenged the Nigerian, who is coming off four consecutive losses, to a fight in the UFC. It's worth noting that Ochocinco is a fan of combat sports, trains boxing regularly, and even competed in an exhibition match in the ring in 2021.

Eager to compete in the octagon, the former American football player used the pre-UFC 327 press conference to ask Dana White for a fight. Not satisfied, the NFL star, sporting the company's belt, asked 'DC' who he would choose as his opponent. Since the MMA legend brought up Adesanya's name, Ochocinco approved the suggestion. To date, the Nigerian has not commented on the matter.

Daniel Cormier: "Adesanya! Come on, you and Izzy!"

Ochocinco: “I like it! Adesanya, I don’t want excuses. Come and get that belt. You and me, five minutes, three rounds. Anywhere. I’ll go to New Zealand, but I don’t have a passport. So, forget it. Come to Miami. I really want to fight Adesanya. I’m serious. To be able to bring out the best in myself and show what I can do, even if it’s not my sport.”

“I’m good enough to survive and be able to attack. My ground game is kind of unstable. To be honest, I probably couldn’t beat any of these guys who do this professionally, but I’m crazy. I don’t care. I go in there and go all out!”, he concluded.

The Nigerian began his career in the sport in 2012, debuted in the company in 2018, and won the belt in 2019. In his first reign in the division, the renowned striker defended the title five times.
