Charles of the Bronx He opened up about different moments in his UFC career and once again demonstrated confidence when projecting the future. The Brazilian answered a series of quick questions about his career and recalled memorable fights, possible opponents, and even positioned himself again as a central figure in the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg). The current BMF champion also reinforced his desire to return to the top of the category.
In an interview with ESPN, 'Do Bronx' pointed to winning the lightweight title as the most important moment of his career, and didn't shy away from mentioning his worst recent memory inside the octagon. The Brazilian also cited historical names he would have liked to face and made it clear that, regardless of the opponent, his focus remains on fighting for the title.
"(The best fight) I think it was the fight when I became lightweight champion: Charles Oliveira against Michael chandler… (the worst fight) Charles Oliveira against Ilia Topuria...when I was knocked out... Confident, the fighter also made a point of positioning himself as a reference when it comes to jiu-jitsu in the UFC and sent a direct message to the division.
