The Brazilian was present at the event held last Saturday (11), in Miami (USA), and said that she met her possible rival in an unusual place, where the two even exchanged a few words. The episode takes place amidst the expectation for a possible confrontation between the fighters, which may happen in the coming months.

In an interview with Evelyn Rodrigues, the official UFC reporter in Brazil, Amanda explained that the meeting happened unexpectedly and served as a brief alignment of expectations. Looking ahead to a possible fight at International Fight Week, the former champion stated that she questioned her opponent about the progress of negotiations and indicated that she is ready for the challenge, awaiting only an official decision.

I’m doing my five rounds of sparring at a lower intensity, taking care of my body and my diet, which is the most important thing right now. It’s about managing my weight, staying healthy, and maintaining the pace until the date comes to increase the intensity,” explained the Brazilian.

Finally, the 'Lioness' went into detail about the moment she and Kayla met in the bathroom. Smiling, Amanda revealed that one of the topics of conversation was the American's injury. Furthermore, the athlete also demanded a greater sacrifice from her opponent to keep the division active.

"It was funny, because there was security there, right? It wasn't even mine, it was the UFC's. I don't need that (security). But they said they couldn't let us meet. Then we met in the bathroom. We looked at each other and I thought: 'Wow, everyone's worried,' but I'm not going to solve anything out here."

"It's business, inside the cage. We talked a bit, she said she's not training hard yet. I saw that she's in good physical shape. I know how hard it is to make weight, especially after an injury. But I think like this: she has the belt, she has to sacrifice. If it were me, I would do everything to defend it. I want to see her doing that too," concluded the 'Lioness'.
