Jon Jones He has not yet defined his future in combat sports. The American was at UFC 327, this past Saturday (11), in Miami (USA), and indicated that he may return to fighting. 'Bones', who had his Dana White announced his retirement at the post-UFC Baku press conference.On June 21, 2025, he also took the opportunity to leave a special message for the people of Brazil.

In a conversation with Evelyn Rodrigues, the official UFC reporter in Brazil, the former light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) and heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg) champion stated that he is living one day at a time. The American doesn't know if his retirement is permanent. Furthermore, 'Bones' shared that he felt a special motivation again after attending an Ultimate event, an organization where he built a great legacy.

“Yeah, you know… I’m not sure if I’m retired or not. I’m taking it one day at a time, trying to understand how my body works and how I feel. But I’ll tell you one thing: being here in the UFC again has rekindled a passion I haven’t felt in a long time. So it’s great to be here,” he said. Jon Jones.

When asked by the reporter about the interest of Brazilian fans in a match against Alex PoatánJones explained that disagreements involving financial compensation led to impasses with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

“You know, I feel like I would have liked to have been rewarded differently, and we ended up having a disagreement, and that happens in life. But, you know what? I’m a big fan of Alex (Poatan). I love the way he carries himself. He’s an incredible fighter, a potential opponent, and a very classy person. I’m a big fan of his,” revealed 'Bones'.

Smiling, 'Bones' also showed himself to be a great admirer of Brazil. The former champion sent a message to the Brazilian people full of affection, expressing eternal love and even challenging himself to say "I love you" in Portuguese.

"Brazil, I love you, I will always love you. It's one of my favorite countries. Team Silva, without a doubt. I love you," concluded the American.
