With the result, the Pole left the defeat to the Embarrassed Lion behind and returned to winning in the biggest MMA organization in the world, defending the eighth position in the category ranking.

Despite his grappling credentials, Gamrot started the fight moving laterally and working his jab well against the Argentinian, who tried to dominate the center of the octagon and be the aggressor. After some exchanges on the feet, the Pole managed to take the fight to the ground on his first takedown attempt. From that moment on, he controlled Ribovics' back against the cage for a few minutes, before transitioning to side control and threatening his opponent with an armbar. The Argentinian managed to recover half-guard, but was clearly dominated in the first round.

Contrary to the advice of his corner, Ribovics attacked the Pole with strong kicks to both the calf and the head during the beginning of the second round. Patient, Gamrot didn't get frustrated when his takedown attempt was defended. A few seconds later he managed to take his opponent down repeatedly against the cage. He showed his high level of jiu-jitsu by making several transitions on the ground and locking in a very tight katagatame, which forced the Argentinian to tap out at four minutes and 19 seconds.

Negatively marked for not making weight last Friday (10), Padilla remained undefeated in the organization and now has five fights without defeat in the Ultimate. His opponent also doesn't know what it's like to lose in the company controlled by Dana White and ended up extending his unbeaten streak to ten fights.

Fearless, Padilla marched forward and landed good punches to his opponent's head without showing much concern for the strikes thrown by his rival. He also connected with strong short elbows when the two exchanged blows in the clinch against the cage. In contrast, Mederos also had success attacking with his elbow, to the point of opening a deep cut above his opponent's right eye in the final part of the first round.

Padilla returned for the second round very aggressively, alternating between strong leg kicks and quick punching combinations, as well as landing powerful straight punches with his rear hand, giving his opponent no chance to breathe. Confident after injuring his rival's face in the first round, Mederos actively sought to exchange blows at close range, with punches and elbows.

The dynamics of the fight remained similar in the final part of the duel, with Chris constantly applying pressure and showing strategy to take his opponent to the ground and dominate his back for a few moments. Mederos even had a point deducted after poking Padilla in the eye on two occasions, which ultimately sealed the score in favor of his opponent. Although one judge scored it 29-27 against Marquel, two scorecards showed a final score of 28-28.
