Renato Moicano wants to share the octagon with the biggest name possible in his next performance. The Brazilian was the protagonist of the main fight of UFC Vegas 115, held last Saturday (4), when he faced Chris Duncan . Even coming from two consecutive defeats, and facing a rival riding a four-fight winning streak, the fighter gave the Scotsman no chance, finished him in the second round and now aims for a ranked opponent.

In the post-event press conference, Moicano made it clear that his focus goes beyond the sporting result. The Brasília native highlighted the importance of fights that generate buzz, citing big names as examples of bouts with great media appeal. According to him, more than winning or losing, the goal is to stay in the spotlight and keep the public talking about his name.

“I think it should be a fight that I could promote like the fights against Ortega, Pimblett, Hooker and Saint-Denis. It’s not about winning or losing. It’s about generating as much buzz as possible, getting people talking about you,” said Renato Moicano.

The athlete also explained his decision to accept the fight against Chris Duncan . According to Moicano, the choice was strategic, as he was coming off two consecutive losses and needed to stay active, even facing an opponent with less recognition in the MMA scene.

“I accepted that fight with Chris Duncan because I was coming off two consecutive losses. He’s not famous, nobody knows him,” concluded the Brazilian.
