It didn't take long for the world's largest MMA organization to define the flyweight (up to 57 kg) scenario. If this Saturday (4) Joshua Van , champion of the category, was unable to perform at UFC 327 and was removed from the event scheduled to take place on April 11, in Miami (USA), hours later, the league informed that the fight against challenger Tatsuro Taira was rescheduled for UFC 328 , show on May 9, in New Jersey (USA).

The company itself made the announcement during the UFC Vegas 115 broadcast. The fight marks Van's first title defense. It's worth noting that the Burmese fighter won the title by dethroning Alexandre Pantoja in December and is currently on a six-fight winning streak. Taira, on the other hand, has two consecutive victories and is ranked third in the division.
