One of the UFC's biggest stars, Kayla Harrison, is already planning her next career steps and has put forward a bold scenario involving Amanda Nunes . Looking to get more action in the octagon, the American revealed that she intends to make a special request to the organization and hasn't ruled out even ending her career if it's not granted.
In an interview with 'Death Row MMA', the two-time Olympic judo champion expressed confidence, saying she will beat 'The Lioness'. Kayla also indicated that she wants the creation of a 66 kg division, a weight class she considers ideal for more frequent fights. Furthermore, the current Ultimate bantamweight champion (up to 61,2 kg) opened the possibility of a fight against Valentina Shevchenko , describing the duel as a "legacy fight," even if it means dropping down a weight class again.
"They don't know, but as soon as I beat Amanda Nunes , I'm going to ask them (UFC) to create a 66 kg division so I can be more active. Unless Valentina (Shevchenko) wants to fight, because I know she's a 57 kg athlete, then I'd cut weight again. Because it's a legacy fight."
"I would face her at 61 kg. Otherwise, if they don't create a 66 kg weight class, I'll just say, 'thank you, it was great.' You know? I'm satisfied. Cutting weight is taking years off my life. I'm not going to lie," Kayla Harrison said in an interview.

Kayla Harrison and Amanda Nunes are not yet scheduled to fight again. Both were slated to fight for the bantamweight title at UFC 324 in January. However, a diagnosis of a herniated disc in her neck, requiring surgery, prevented the American from fulfilling the schedule. Although the fight hasn't been ruled out, the UFC has not yet rescheduled the bout.
