Nate Diaz has shown no interest in completing the trilogy against Conor McGregor in the UFC octagon. The American 'Bad Boy' revealed that he received an offer to face the Irishman, but opted to sign to fight Mike Perry at an MVP event, in partnership with Netflix. Even so, the creator of the BMF belt does not rule out a return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship, provided he faces Charles Oliveira.
In an interview with 'The Von', Nate Diaz explained that he refused to fight McGregor at this time because he prioritizes matchups against athletes who are still at their peak. The veteran highlighted his interest in facing Charles do Bronx and reinforced that he seeks to test his strength against the best while they are still at a high level.

“They wanted me to fight Conor McGregor right now… I want to fight Charles Oliveira. I want to fight the best of the best, when they’re still the best of the best. Conor is great, but I don’t want to finish him when he’s at the end of his career,” said Nate Diaz.

In the post- UFC London press conference , the UFC president didn't hide his appreciation for Diaz and confirmed he was interested in having him on his team again. Aware that the fighter chose to join Ronda Rousey and Francis Ngannou , Dana admitted defeat to Netflix, but delighted fans by revealing that he doesn't rule out re-signing the 'Bad Boy'.
“He came and talked to me a few weeks ago. We had some fun and I think Nate got an offer he couldn’t refuse. I haven’t spoken to him since then, but I’m happy for him. I don’t know, let him do what he wants. Then we’ll see how this fight unfolds and what happens,” said Dana White.
