After much anticipation, the game “EA Sports UFC”, the long-awaited video game debut of the partnership between the biggest MMA event on the planet in the world and the producer Eletronic Arts, hit the shelves in June 2014 and divided the opinions of fans and experts. Despite being seen by many as a notable evolution of old games based on Ultimate, the game was the target of some specific criticism, especially with regard to the fighting system.
Now, EA Sports is preparing to launch the second version of the game and, to this end, has released a trailer for the game, which will be released in June 2016 for Xbox One and Playstation 4. Among the producer's promises are a new system of knockouts, completely remodeled, and more intuitive game modes made especially for fight fans.
After years in the possession of THQ, the production license for games based on the UFC was sold to Eletronic Arts, which handed over production to its sports subsidiary “EA Sports”. In addition to the console version, available for Xbox One and Playstation 4, the game also had an edition for smartphones, which also marked a change in the role of the game's poster boy, from former champion Jon Jones for Ronda Rousey.
