One of the most popular names in all of MMA, Jiri Prochazka has become respected and feared among his peers for possessing one of the most violent and aggressive fighting styles of all time. In this context, the former light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) came forward to suggest a change in the BMF belt disputes during an interview with the American website 'MMA Fighting' this Wednesday (25).

According to the fighter, who was at the T-Mobile Arena and watched the duel between Charles Oliveira and Max Holloway at UFC 326, BMF title fights should have specific rules.

“I thought about it and had an idea. I think the BMF title (will be won) by the guy who stays in the center of the octagon and, as Max Holloway demonstrates with his hand in the center, remains there for all the rounds, that's it. Pure violence, pure BMF. Close range. But let's do this with the best athletes, the highest level. Just two guys, but Oliveira also had a totally different strategy, he used it and succeeded,” the fighter stated.

Despite the high expectations generated in the weeks leading up to the fight, Charles ended up being criticized for opting for a strategy heavily focused on grappling against Holloway. Recently, the new BFM champion lashed out at his critics.

Prochazka's excessive aggressiveness earned him big wins against Khalil Rountree , Jamahal Hill , and Glover Teixeira . In the UFC, the only man to beat him was Alex Poatan , who knocked him out twice. With the Brazilian moving up to heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg) to become the first triple champion in UFC history, the Czech will have the opportunity to reclaim the light heavyweight crown (up to 93 kg) in his fight against Carlos Ulberg at UFC 327.
