Movsar Evloev left UFC London with another important victory in his record. In the main event held last Saturday (21), the Russian defeated Lerone Murphy by majority decision in hostile territory, ended his undefeated streak and got closer to the featherweight title fight (up to 65,8 kg). And, it seems, the athlete has started to be seen in a different light by Dana White.
After the event, the UFC president, aware of the complaints from fans and MMA professionals regarding the outcome of the main fight, defended Evloev. Furthermore, when asked if the Russian would be the next opponent for champion Alexander Volkanovski , Dana White didn't make a definitive statement, but admitted that Volkanovski is in a very good position in the division.

Upon learning of the UFC president's statement, Movsar expressed surprise and thanked him for his support. However, the athlete took a jab at his boss, reminding him that the UFC's top brass does everything to hinder his path to his long-awaited title fight. Currently, the Russian, undefeated with 20 wins, is ranked first in the featherweight division and has Volkanovski's approval to challenge him.
“Thank you, Uncle Dana, for saying that, because before you just hated me. But still, it’s just a possibility. We’ll see. Well, I’m happy. I’m ready for the belt or give me another newcomer,” the fighter said at the post- UFC London press conference.

Movsar Evloev , 32, is one of the best featherweight fighters and is undefeated in MMA. The Russian began his career in the sport in 2014 and debuted in the UFC in 2019. In the sport, he has built a record of 20 wins and is currently ranked first in the category. His main victories were over Aljamain Sterling , Arnold Allen , Dan Ige , Diego Lopes , and Lerone Murphy.
