Rain cancels open UFC training sessions in SP

The attraction was supposed to take place this Wednesday (4), but bad weather prevented the fighters from performing in front of the fans

Open training sessions are already a tradition before events held by the UFC. However, the attraction ended up not taking place in São Paulo, days before UFC Fight Night 77, as bad weather in São Paulo prevented the athletes from performing in front of the fans.

The ceremony was scheduled to take place at 16pm (Brasília time) at the amphitheater at Praça Villa Lobos, in the West Zone of the city. However, shortly before, heavy rain fell in the area. Even though the mat set up for the athletes' presentation was covered, water ran into the area, which forced the Ultimate organization to cancel an open training session at an event held in Brazil for the first time.

UFC Fight Night 77 will be held this Saturday (7), at Ginásio do Ibirapuera. Vitor belfort e Dan Henderson do the main fight, with Glover Teixeira and Patrick Cummins dueling in the second most important fight of the night.
