Away from the UFC since July 2021, Conor McGregor wants to make a grand return. The Irishman has already expressed his desire to participate in the highly anticipated UFC White House event , scheduled for June 14th, but no official information about his presence has been released by the organization. In a recent appearance in Ireland, the former champion stated that he is negotiating his return with the company.
In an interview with the 'Drinklitt' profile, McGregor, who was in Dublin for an event at his pub, The Black Forge Inn, did not guarantee his participation in the highly anticipated show. Despite this, he made it clear that he intends to return to fighting in the American summer, that is, between June 21st and September 22nd.
"I'm in negotiations with the UFC about a fight, whether it's at the White House or something close to that, but you'll see Conor McGregor back this summer," the Irishman declared.

Carlos Prates , who already has a fight scheduled against Jack Della Maddalena at UFC Perth on May 2nd in Australia, revealed in an interview with the channel 'Laerte Viana na Área – MMA' that a confrontation with the Irishman was considered , but the former champion reportedly refused.
The representative from Fighting Nerds stated that he had received information that his name had been offered to the former champion by the organization. However, Conor reportedly did not follow through with the talks. In the Brazilian's view, the Irishman chose not to accept the fight due to his current form.
“Conor chickened out, ran away, and they put me against Jack Della Maddalena . (McGregor ran from me) because I'm tough. Look, the guy's been out for five years and all that, he's not in this weight class, even though he fought his last fights at 77 kg… I'm riding the hype, knocking everyone out. So, I believe that if I were in his place, I wouldn't have accepted either,” said Carlos Prates.
