Zabit Magomedsharipov 's return to combat sports is no longer speculation but reality. The 34-year-old Russian, once a UFC sensation, has signed a contract with ACBJJ. It is true that the athlete, who last competed in 2019, does not yet have a definite date to return to action, but his fans will be able to satisfy their longing. The announcement was made by the league itself last Monday (16).
So far, the only information available about Zabit's next fight is that it will not be MMA, but rather grappling. Interestingly, the Russian, throughout his years of activity, has shown himself to be more of a striker than a grappler. At his peak, the veteran decided to step away from combat sports due to injuries and health problems.
