Reinier de Ridder believes Caio Borralho is lying about what goes on behind the scenes at the UFC. The Dutchman faces the Brazilian on the main card of UFC 326, scheduled for March 7th, and the former ONE FC champion pointed out statements from 'Nerd' that he considers, at the very least, exaggerated about how the organization matches its fights.
In an interview with 'UFC op Eurosport', De Ridder was asked about rumors of athletes who had refused to fight Caio Borralho and refuted the narrative, stating that the Ultimate's operation is not based on mass refusals, since injuries and the need for more recovery time influence the availability of fighters, but that all athletes in the top 15 are willing to face any opponent.

“That guy ( Caio Borralho ) is full of nonsense… Everyone talks a lot of rubbish. But this guy keeps saying nonsensical things. Of course, that’s not how it works in the UFC. It’s not like the UFC calls you and you want to fight, and nine out of ten say, ‘no, no, forget it.’ That’s not how it works. People might be injured or need more time to recover. But everyone in the top 15 wants to fight everyone else,” said Reinier De Ridder.

Despite the Dutchman's skepticism regarding the rumors, Caio Borralho appears as the favorite among bettors for the UFC 326 fight. According to Stake , the Brazilian has odds of 1,38, which represents a return of R$ 13,80 for every R$ 10 bet. Reinier De Ridder , on the other hand , is considered the underdog, with odds of 3,05, equivalent to a return of R$ 30,5 for every R$ 10 invested in his victory.
