On that occasion, Magalhães, also known as “Monster”, was submitted in the first round, but then spat his blood towards his opponent, the American Josh Samman.

In a hearing held by the Nevada Commission, this Thursday (29), Magalhães stated that he apologized to the referee and to Samman, with whom he said he had dinner on the same night as the fight (which the North American denied). Furthermore, the Brazilian claimed that he had already faced major damages as a result of what happened, as he had to spend part of his payment on lawyers.

Thus, Magalhães received a six-month suspension, and, instead of imposing a fine, he ordered a 40-hour community service, when he will have to teach jiu-jitsu to children.
