Always incisive in his statements, Tim Kennedy did not mince words when commenting on the alleged doping case involving Vitor belfort in 2012, when he would have fought in the UFC despite a positive test hidden by the organization. The American fighter fired back at the Brazilian and insisted that the “Phenomenon” is and always has been a cheater.

Just over three years ago, Belfort challenged Jon Jones for the UFC light heavyweight belt. However, the North American website “Deadspin” revealed that Belfort had registered a higher-than-normal amount of testosterone in a test three weeks before the fight, which would have been disregarded by the UFC.
Kennedy stated that the only new thing in this whole story is the supposed omission of Ultimate, as Belfort's positive test does not surprise him. “He is a cheater and has always been a cheater. He has been cheating since he was 19 years old. He failed his first steroid test when he was 20 or so. This is old as hell, but he still cheats. So I don't know why people are surprised. The big news in all of this is that the UFC may have covered up the situation. This is a tragedy. There is no surprise that Vitor belfort cheats. People love him because he's fun to watch, he always delivers great knockouts, but guess what: he's a cheater and always has been”, said Kennedy, in an interview with the “Submission Radio” podcast.
According to the North American television program “UFC Tonight”, Kennedy, who has not fought since September 2014, wants to face the winner of the duel between Belfort and Dan Henderson, which will take place on November 7th in São Paulo.
