On November 7th, the veteran Dan Henderson returns to Brazil, more specifically to São Paulo (SP), to finish his trilogy against Vitor belfort. However, apparently, Vitor is not the only Brazilian Hendo has in mind. In an interview, the American revealed that he plans to end his career with two rematches, one of them against none other than Anderson Silva.
“I have two more fights left on my contract, and maybe that's it... or maybe I'll renew and fight more, but it all depends on what happens in my next fights. Some fans have expressed their desire to see me fight Anderson Silva, and I know he's not the champion anymore, but it's a fight that people want to see happen again. Already the fight with Jon Jones never happened. Who knows what he'll be doing? He’s the man and I was ready to fight more than anyone,” said Hendo, in an interview with the “Inside MMA” program.
At 45, Dan Henderson has a professional record of 31 wins and 13 losses. Former PRIDE and Strikeforce champion, Hendo was defeated by Anderson Silva in 2008, in the unification of the Japanese event and UFC titles. The duel against Jon Jones it didn't even happen. Henderson suffered an injury a few days before UFC 151 and, with no alternative, the event ended up being cancelled.
