Just like the first event of the year, UFC 325 also had a fight cancelled due to problems during the weigh-in. Aaron Tau, who was to face Namsrai Batbayar on the preliminary card as part of the Road to UFC final in a fight valid for the flyweight division (up to 56,7 kg), tried to cheat the weight check process in the early hours of Friday (30) and therefore, the fight was cancelled.

Initially, Tau registered a weight of 55,3 kg, significantly lower than the division limit and something extremely rare. Upon noticing that the athlete had rested his elbows on the screen during the weigh-in, the athletic commission members called him back, and it was then discovered that he actually weighed 58,5 kg.

Many fans recalled a famous episode involving Daniel Cormier years ago. In 2017, the then light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) defended his title in a rematch with Anthony Johnson . The day before, DC initially weighed in above the division limit, but surprised everyone by returning to the scale a few minutes later and confirming the fight.
At the time, many noticed that the American had held onto a towel during the weigh-in, which would have helped him to mask the result. Although he denied it at the time, he admitted to cheating during his induction into the Ultimate Fighting Championship Hall of Fame in 2022.
