Without a doubt the biggest disappointment of the year so far, the cancellation of the fight between Amanda Nunes and Kayla Harrison for the bantamweight title (up to 61,2 kg) disappointed millions of fans around the world, especially Brazilians. However, the American's recovery seems to be going as well as possible. This Thursday (29), the current Ultimate champion was photographed visiting her gym in Florida.

Kayla was forced to undergo neck surgery to correct a herniated disc earlier this month. At the time, SUPER LUTAS exclusively reported that Norma Dumont had offered to fill the American's position. Although there is no date for her return, Dana White has already ruled out the possibility of creating an interim belt.

In the photo, released by the official X account (formerly Twitter) of American Top Team, the two-time Olympic judo champion has removed her neck brace, and the scar on the front of her neck is visible. Despite the surgery having been performed recently, Kayla appears smiling.
