No excuses! Paddy Pimblett speaks out for the first time after the reality check in the UFC against Gaethje.

MMA star Paddy Pimblett suffered his first defeat in the octagon. In the main event of UFC 324, held last Saturday (24) in Las Vegas (USA), the Englishman suffered at the hands of Justin Gaethje , losing by unanimous decision and wasting the chance to become interim lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg). After digesting the tough setback, 'The Baddy' spoke out for the first time.

Inside the octagon, Pimblett suffered knockdowns from the veteran and left the fight bruised and bloodied. Outside the octagon, however, the Englishman showed good sense. On his official Instagram account, 'The Baddy' displayed fair play towards his opponent and made sure to thank his loyal followers for their support and affection.

Analyzing the defeat, Paddy made no excuses and acknowledged Gaethje's superiority. And he didn't stop there. The athlete showed that he wasn't shaken by the loss of his undefeated record in the UFC and promised to bounce back soon, reassuring his fans.

“I hope everyone enjoyed my fight as much as I did. I want to thank everyone who came to support me and everyone who watched at home. I’m great, no injuries. I went into the fight feeling incredible, I had a great camp and a smooth weight cut. No excuses, the best man won that night. Gaethje, congratulations, brother! It was an honor to share the octagon with a legend like you,” the fighter wrote.

“Go for the undisputed title, your career deserves it! I hope we can have a rematch for the undisputed belt, because I know it’s my destiny to win the gold! UFC, thank you for the opportunity. You know I’ll be back to fight for that belt soon,” he concluded.

Paddy Pimblett , 31, is one of the biggest names in the UFC. The Englishman began his MMA career in 2012 and debuted for the organization in 2021. Currently, 'The Baddy' is ranked fifth in the lightweight division. In the sport, the athlete has built a record of 23 wins and four losses. His main victories were over Michael Chandler and Tony Ferguson.
