Dana White achieved a historic feat by bringing the UFC to Paramount+ streaming, but the debut of the new partnership was not without criticism from fans. During UFC 324, held last Saturday, the large number of advertisements shown throughout the broadcast generated strong negative reactions on social media. Despite the complaints, the organization's president assured that changes will be implemented.

In the press conference following the event, Dana White stated that he hadn't yet watched the broadcast closely and highlighted that the new model is still undergoing adjustments. He also emphasized that the subscription price is affordable and that advertising is part of the business's commercial dynamics, as everyone involved needs to be compensated.

“I haven’t seen it yet and everything is still being adjusted… It’s $8,99. You’re not paying that much extra; these guys need to make money too,” said Dana White.

New UFC broadcast angers fans and becomes target of criticism on social media.

The debut of the new partnership between UFC and Paramount+ in Brazil did not go unnoticed, nor in a positive way. The first event broadcast exclusively on the platform ended up generating a wave of criticism from fans on social media, mainly due to the excessive number of advertisements throughout the broadcast.

One of the main points raised by fans was the large number of advertisements shown between rounds and during breaks between fights, which ended up directly interfering with the broadcast of moments considered important by the public.

"The UFC 324 broadcast on Paramount+ was terrible. There's no point in constantly inserting ads for TV series and movies between rounds. Also, many times we wanted to hear the corner talking to the fighter between rounds and we didn't hear anything. Another thing that was missing is a button to see the fight order and which fights have already been over. This could be improved for future events!", wrote one user.

Other fans also complained about the loss of important footage, such as the athletes' entrances and the instructions given by the coaches between rounds.

The lack of greater participation from the commentary team and the feeling of a product "broken" by the number of commercial breaks were also mentioned.

"The UFC broadcast so far has been irritating... the blue screen of commercials keeps popping up, they miss the fighters' entrances, they miss the corner instructions between rounds, there's little participation from the commentary panel, and the product isn't being valued much. That's just my opinion," commented another user.

Some highlighted the length of the advertising breaks as one of the biggest problems of the night. "A surreal amount of ads on the UFC broadcast on Paramount+, like 3 minutes of continuous ads," wrote one fan.

Paramount+ has not yet officially commented on the criticism. It remains to be seen whether adjustments will be made for upcoming events, something that fans themselves have made clear they expect, now that the platform has become the official home of the UFC in Brazil.
