Waldo Cortes Acosta He remains unstoppable in the octagon. UFC 324, event held this Saturday (24), in Las Vegas (USA), 'Salsa Boy' simply surprised Derrick Lewis, the greatest knockout artist in the organization's history. The athlete knocked out the veteran in the second round, achieving the biggest victory of his career.
With this result, Acosta secured his third consecutive victory, all by knockout, and moved closer to the top of the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg). Excited, the powerful fighter wasted no time and challenged... Curtis blaydes.

Opportunistic and lethal
The fight began with the two hulking men exchanging kicks. However, the pair respected each other and attacked little. Cautious, Acosta relied on jabs. In turn, Lewis threw his right punches, but didn't land cleanly. At the end of the first round, Acosta grabbed Lewis's leg and took him down, but didn't want to venture to the ground. With the fight back on its feet, Lewis attacked and startled Acosta with his assault.
At the start of the second round, Lewis showed his aggression, but was almost knocked out. On the counter-attack, Acosta landed a straight punch to his opponent's face, stunning him. Enjoying a good moment in the fight, Acosta continued to throw jabs at Lewis. Cautious, the veteran had difficulty attacking his rival.
Even so, Lewis startled Acosta with a straight right and a cross. Then, Acosta, stepping back, landed a jab on Lewis, who slipped and fell. On the ground, Acosta delivered a brutal ground and pound to the greatest knockout artist in UFC history, knocking him out and turning the tables on the sorcerer.
