The instability surrounding UFC 324, scheduled for January 24th in Las Vegas (USA), has become a topic of debate on social media after Renato Moicano posted a video analyzing the current state of the card. According to the Brazilian lightweight (up to 70,3 kg), the cancellation of the highly anticipated fight between Kayla Harrison and Amanda Nunes exposed a greater weakness in the event, which, in his opinion, has lost relevance and now depends on one specific star to avoid failure: Alex Poatan.
On his YouTube channel, Moicano said the problem goes beyond a simple change in the card. The fighter highlighted that the UFC is experiencing a moment of strong commercial pressure, especially after the billion-dollar deal with Paramount+, which requires big attractions to sustain subscriptions and maintain the interest of the general public.
"And it wasn't just the fight between Kayla Harrison and Amanda Nunes that was canceled, the entire UFC 324 could be at risk because, in my opinion, this guy (Pimblett) shouldn't even be fighting for a title and this fight doesn't justify a $7 billion contract that needs to impress fans in the first half of 2026..."

"It's not the first time he's done this, and he's going to do it again, and this time it will be at heavyweight... (Poatan) will accept this fight with only a few weeks' notice and become the UFC heavyweight champion, doing something unprecedented," said Moicano.

According to Moicano's interpretation, the scenario suggests improvisation behind the scenes and a last-minute change of plans. He believes the UFC had a big fight lined up, but had to hold off on the announcement after issues involving Kayla Harrison.
