Magomed Ankalaev is finally back. After being quickly knocked out by Alex Poatan in the rematch, held in October in Las Vegas (USA), the Russian disappeared from the scene, that is, he did not give interviews and stayed away from social media. But, last Thursday (15), the former UFC light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) showed signs of life and demonstrated his willingness to make up for lost time.

Ankalaev ended his long period of seclusion suggesting he has recovered from the damage caused by the tough defeat suffered against the Brazilian. So much so that the Russian, dreaming of returning to the top of the division, is already thinking about his next fight. Therefore, by interacting with fans about a possible opponent, the athlete signaled to the UFC that he is ready to face the top names in the division.

Magomed Ankalaev , 33, is an elite athlete and, not surprisingly, was the UFC light heavyweight champion. Currently, the Russian is ranked second in the division.

The athlete began his career in the sport in 2014 and debuted in the organization in 2018. Over the years, 'Big Ank' built a record of 20 wins, two losses, one draw, and one 'no contest' (fight without a result). His main victories were over Aleksandar Rakic , Alex Poatan , Anthony Smith , Johnny Walker , Thiago Marreta , and Volkan Oezdemir.
