Arman Tsarukyan is eyeing the UFC featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg). The Armenian, currently ranked number one in the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg), recently gave an interview to Ariel Helwani and opened up about his future plans.

In an interview with Ariel Helwani, Arman Tsarukyan revealed that he is considering dropping down to the featherweight division someday. The 29-year-old Armenian said that he considers himself too short for the lightweight division, his current weight class; however, the idea of ​​fighting at featherweight is solely to compete for the title.

“So, I’m not too big for the (lightweight) 70,3 kg, so maybe one day I’ll drop down to the (featherweight) 65,7 kg. I can do it. But only for the title,” Arman Tsarukyan said in an interview with Ariel Helwani.

“Maybe one day I'll go down to 145. Just for the title fight.”

UFC featherweight division close to another decision.

Current featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski will defend his title in a rematch against Diego Lopes at UFC 325 on January 31st in Sydney, Australia. Volkanovski, who first lost the title to Ilia Topuria at UFC 298 in February 2024, regained the top spot in the division last year.

The Australian defeated Diego Lopes via unanimous decision at UFC 314 in April 2025 for the vacant featherweight title. Check out the UFC 325 fight card below (subject to change).
