It appears that Bo Nickal and Colby Covington are set to appear at UFC White House , an event scheduled for June. Since Donald Trump announced that the UFC intends to hold a card on the lawn of the US presidential residence, both names have gained traction due to their close relationship with the former president and their patriotic appeal to the American public. However, a recent exchange of barbs has further heightened expectations, opening the possibility of a direct confrontation between them at the event.
Through social media, Bo Nickal made it clear that he welcomes the idea of facing Covington. The prospect stated that the fight would make sense for both of them, despite fighting in different divisions, as they compete in the same weight class, and indicated that UFC Casa Branca would be the ideal venue for the duel.
“I would love to fight Colby, but I highly doubt he would agree to fight me. We are the same weight, so let's do it at the White House,” wrote Bo Nickal.

Colby Covington 's response came shortly after. In a press conference following RAF 5, an event where he defeated Luck Rockhold in a wrestling match, the outspoken fighter adopted a provocative tone. The former welterweight (up to 77kg) title challenger mocked Bo Nickal 's loss to Reinier De Ridder and reinforced the idea that he doesn't pay attention to fighters who can't handle the pressure.
“I want to apologize to Reiner de Ridder because I called him a Dutch kickboxer. In fact, he’s a grappler. So, a grappler made Bo tap out in the octagon. … I don’t have time for those who give up,” Covington responded.

Despite recently fueling an unexpected rivalry, Bo Nickal and Colby Covington are going through very different phases in the UFC. At 37 years old, the outspoken fighter hasn't stepped into the octagon since December 2024 and hasn't won since 2022. On the other hand, the American prospect is experiencing a positive moment: he comes from a convincing victory over Rodolfo Vieira at UFC 322 and has managed to recover from the only defeat suffered in his professional MMA career.
