Alex Poatan is single again. After surprising fans by revealing his relationship with fellow UFC fighter Tracy Cortez during New Year's Eve , the light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) took to social media to announce the end of the relationship just nine days later.
Through Instagram stories, Alex Poatan thanked the public for their affection and explained that, despite the good times they shared with Tracy Cortez , they both decided to go their separate ways. The champion also wished the fighter success and positive things in her personal and professional journey.
"Thank you to my fans for all the love. I would like to inform you that although Tracy Cortez and I have shared great moments together, we have decided that it would be best for both of us to go our separate ways. I wish her all the best on her journey," wrote Poatan.

Although Alex Poatan 's love life is in the spotlight, his professional life remains the focus. The Brazilian has publicly ruled out the possibility of fighting at UFC Casa Branca , scheduled for June, which has increased rumors that his name may be the main attraction at UFC 327, scheduled for April 11 in Miami.
Despite the speculation, Poatan still doesn't have a confirmed opponent for the date. Among fans, three scenarios appear as the most discussed: a super fight against Jon Jones in the heavyweight division (up to 120,2kg), a duel with Ciryl Gane for the interim belt in the category, since there is no forecast for Tom Aspinall 's return , or a confrontation against Carlos Ulberg in the light heavyweight division.
