Kamaru Usman expressed skepticism regarding the UFC's plans to hold an event at the White House. After Donald Trump recently stated that the UFC is considering promoting around eight title fights on the lawn of the US presidential residence, the former welterweight champion negatively assessed the idea, describing the format as unattractive to the public.
During an appearance on the 'Pound 4 Pound' podcast, the Nigerian questioned the viability of such an extensive card, highlighting that a sequence of title fights, all with five rounds, would make the event tiring and difficult to follow, even stating that he would probably be asleep before the halfway point of the fights.

"Who wants to watch seven title fights in a row, all with five rounds? I think it's a terrible idea. Honestly, I'd probably be asleep by the third title fight," said Kamaru Usman.

Names like Jon Jones , Alex Paotan , Conor McGregor , and Amanda Nunes have already been linked to fight on this unprecedented card. However, the UFC president is keeping the favorite fighters for this event a secret. The only name Dana White hasn't denied is Derrick Lewis . In fact, it was the organization's head himself who made this information public.
White has avoided talking about the names that may be at UFC White House . No official information from the company has yet been released regarding the selected fighters. The event is scheduled to take place on June 14, 2026, the same date that Donald Trump, the US president, will turn 80 years old.
Initially, Dana White had said that UFC White House would take place on July 4th, Independence Day in the United States, however, Donald Trump updated the date in a speech at the Norfolk Naval Station on October 5th.
