Marcos Parrumpinha promised to return with new information about the state of health of Alexandre pantoja and he kept his word. In December, in Las Vegas (USA), the Brazilian suffered an arm injury just 26 seconds into the fight against Joshua Van Unable to continue competing, he was defeated, losing the UFC flyweight (up to 57 kg) title. Now, his coach has updated the athlete's condition.

In a Q&A session with fans, Parrumpinha, candidly, preached caution regarding the former champion's return to the UFC. According to the coach, Pantoja avoided the worst-case scenario, but at the same time, he explained that there is no set date for him to return to training, much less fight. It's worth noting that the MMA veteran is at the beginning of the recovery process, meaning there are procedures he needs to undergo that could take up valuable time away from the octagon.

"The good news is that there was no fracture and no ligament injury. So, from there, we already have very good expectations for his return. We still don't know the exact time. He needs to do a lot of physiotherapy to start moving his arm, and after moving his arm, he can return to light training," the coach said on his official Instagram account.

"After light training, we'll go back to hard training. Then, we'll have an exact idea of ​​how long it will take for him to come back and take our belt back," he concluded.
