Despite competing in different weight classes in the UFC, the duel of submission across Shara Magomedov e Arman Tsarukyan, scheduled for this Tuesday (30), has been generating strong tensions between the two fighters. After the Armenian, currently ranked first in the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg.) insinuated during the event's press conference that the middleweight (up to 83,9 kg.) was afraid to face him, the Russian Pirate responded to his rival emphatically.

In expressing his dissatisfaction with the Armenian's statements, the Russian compared his difficult childhood, lacking in luxuries, to the affluent origins of Tsarukyan, the son of a major construction businessman. According to Shara, his opponent did not experience the same emotions that he was forced to experience to become a professional athlete.
“You’re talking about bravery and sports. That doesn’t suit you. I’ve lived a different life than you. Our perceptions of fear are different. I stole aluminum from my neighborhood so I could buy gloves to train. You’ve lived a different life. Don’t talk about being afraid. Guys like you call the police around me,” stated the Russian Pirate.

Completely sidelined by Dana White in the title race, Arman found in grappling competitions a way to stay active and test himself in the most advanced aspect of combat sports. In this modality, he has victories against names of the caliber of Benson Henderson and... Patricky Pitbull.
