Alex Poatan is still waiting for the UFC to define his future, but he can't stay still even at Christmas. Back at the gym, the light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) trained not only with his usual partners, but also with his children and shared this activity on his official 'Instagram' account last Thursday (25).
Furthermore, Alessandro and Lohan Pereira impressed their father's fans. In the video, the sons were not intimidated when faced with Poatan, one of the most decorated and feared fighters in stand-up fighting, and exchanged punches with everything they had.

The boys performed so well that they even managed to land a punch on the renowned striker, leaving Glover Teixeira thrilled. Furthermore, Poatan's fans highlighted that Alessandro and Lohan's fighting style resembles their father's and predicted that the duo will be in the UFC in the future.
Poatan's next step
Currently, Alex Poatan is eyeing a super fight against Jon Jones in the UFC heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg). However, if he remains in the light heavyweight division, the Brazilian is likely to face either Carlos Ulberg or Jiri Prochazka . The New Zealander is ranked third and has a nine-fight winning streak. The Czech is a former champion in the division and is currently ranked first. The problem for 'Denisa' is that he has lost twice to the renowned striker via knockout.
Another possibility is that Poatan, seeking his third belt in a different UFC weight class, will venture into the heavyweight division against Ciryl Gane for the interim title. Currently, Tom Aspinall , the heavyweight champion, is still suffering from an eye injury after receiving an illegal eye poke from the Frenchman and has not been cleared to return to training, much less given a date for his next fight.
