Having already faced Vitor belfort twice in his career, Dan Henderson he already knows what he needs to do to win the trilogy between them, next month, in São Paulo (SP). The North American veteran wants to pressure the Brazilian and intimidate him, so he can triumph in the main fight of UFC Fight Night 77.

Although Henderson lost the most recent duel with Belfort, he considers that he is going through a better moment than the “Phenomenon”, and will show this to everyone in the shootout. “If I put pressure on him, as I plan to do, I believe I will destabilize him mentally. He is dangerous in the first round, as he was against Chris Weidman, but I will try to eliminate it with my hands. He is a striker, strong and fast. My wrestling is superior and, at this moment, I consider myself a better fighter than him”, said Henderson, in an interview with the “Combate” channel website.

Henderson and Belfort faced each other for the first time in 2006, still at the now defunct PRIDE event, with the North American winning by the judges' decision. The rematch took place in November 2013, with Belfort delivering the first knockout of Henderson's career.

Since then, Belfort fought once again, in May of this year, when he ended up defeated by Chris Weidman in a fight that put the UFC middleweight belt at stake. Henderson has fought four times since then: he won twice, against Mauritius Shogun and Tim Boetsch, and lost two others, to Daniel Cormier e Gegard Mousasi. The trilogy will be the main attraction of the event at Ginásio do Ibirapuera, on November 7th.
