Promising bantamweight Vinícius Lokdog downplays controversies and makes an emotional appeal in the UFC.

One of the most active Brazilian fighters on social media, Vinícius Lokdog has been receiving criticism from various fans and MMA professionals due to certain attitudes and statements. In the midst of his preparation to face Mario Bautista on February 7th in Las Vegas (USA), in the most important fight of his career, the athlete, a promising bantamweight (up to 61,2 kg) fighter in the UFC, surprised everyone with an emotional appeal.

On his official 'X' account, Lokdog downplayed the controversies he was involved in in 2025 and asked fans not to abandon him on his journey in the world's largest MMA organization. Frankly, the Brazilian explained that his intention is not to force a 'bad boy' persona to become commercial and sell fights, but rather to entertain the public with his somewhat flamboyant and daring style.

Lokdog controversies

Undefeated in the UFC and ranked 13th in the bantamweight division, 30-year-old Vinícius "Lokdog" received harsh criticism from MMA fans and professionals for releasing videos punishing a training partner with a visibly inferior skill level. Furthermore, the fighter from Rio Grande do Sul has clashed with Alex Poatan and Charles do Bronx , two of the most decorated and popular Brazilian fighters in the sport.

The athlete challenged the company's light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) to an intense training session. Furthermore, the fighter from Rio Grande do Sul also offered to face the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) when the latter had no opponent at UFC Rio in October.
