The former UFC champion approved of Vadim Nemkov's initiative, in what could be his second and perhaps last fight in the PFL.

It didn't take long for Francis Ngannou to respond to the challenge made by Vadim Nemkov . Having not fought since October 2024, the Cameroonian combat sports star was not intimidated by the call from the PFL heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg).

Ngannou readily accepted to test his strength against the Russian in 2026, in the already anticipated super fight. It is worth noting that the Cameroonian had revealed that he could face Nemkov next season. As the athlete finished Renan Problema last Saturday (13), in France, the former UFC champion approved the challenge in what could be his second and, who knows, last appearance in the PFL.

"I've been ready for a long time. See you soon," the former UFC champion wrote on his official 'X' account.

Delicate moment

Despite being a PFL star, the relationship between the organization and Francis Ngannou is strained. Besides not wanting to compete for the company and always showing more interest in boxing, the Cameroonian, a crucial figure in expanding the company in Africa, has been absent from events held on the continent.

Not satisfied with that, the athlete also wants to headline a super fight with Jon Jones at UFC White House in June. In any case, the PFL's top brass has already stated that Ngannou's next fight in the cage should be a big one.
